The staff and board of the Mann Art Gallery regretfully bid farewell to Jesse Campbell, who has been the Director/Curator of the Mann Art Gallery for the past five years. Jesse has proven an effective leader, inspired curator, and passionate supporter of the regional and provincial arts community. She will be greatly missed. Under Jesse's directorship, grant sponsorships have grown; the Permanent Collection of the Mann Art Gallery more than doubled with the acquisition of the Mac and Beth Hone Collection in addition to works of national and international significance by Joe Fafard, Ruth Cuthand, Catherine Blackburn, and others; the MAG produced our first professionally bound exhibition catalogue, Andree Felley Martinson: A Retrospective; she initiated the annual full-colour, tri-fold exhibition brochure with essay; and Jesse curated the MAG's first touring exhibition - Catherine Blackburn: New Age Warriors, which has travelled to five locations throughout SK since 2018 and will embark on a national tour, coordinated by the Dunlop Art Gallery, next year. We congratulate Jesse Campbell on all of her accomplishments here, and wish her the best in this new chapter of her personal and professional life. We are sincerely grateful for her time here and how she has shaped the Mann Art Gallery in such a positive way. There will be a guest book for members to write messages to Jesse on the reception desk of the Mann Art Gallery for the next month.
