The Mann Art Gallery Board of Directors recently dedicated an entire day to board governance training and laying the groundwork for a new strategic plan. As we prepare to move into 2025, this marks an exciting opportunity to build a strong foundation for the board and chart a positive, sustainable direction for the gallery.
The energy and collaboration displayed by our board members was truly inspiring. We are fortunate to have a group of individuals who not only think outside the box but also openly share ideas and perspectives. Their collective enthusiasm sets the stage for innovation and growth as we navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
One of the most thought-provoking questions posed during the training was: "How is the Mann Art Gallery relevant to our community?" This question became a guiding thread as we worked through various exercises, prompting us to consider the gallery's role and impact within Prince Albert and beyond. It encouraged us to think deeply about our mission and how we can continue to serve and engage our community effectively.
The conversation around relevance doesn’t end here. It is a question we are now posing to our dedicated staff, and over the next few months, we will extend this inquiry to our members and the broader community. We believe that the insights gained will play a pivotal role in shaping a strategic plan that is both inclusive and forward-thinking.
As we move forward, we are excited to engage with you—our community—to ensure the Mann Art Gallery remains a vital and dynamic cultural hub. Your voices and perspectives are essential to this process, and we look forward to hearing from you as we work together to define what relevance and impact mean for our gallery in 2025 and beyond.
Stay tuned for updates on our strategic planning journey, and thank you for your continued support and engagement!
